ofgauges,sensors,andalarms.Youcanusethisfeatureto
displayreadingsfrominstrumentsorgaugesandtoremotely
monitorpanicbuttonsoralarms.
ThissectiondescribeshowtoconnectandconfiguretheseI/O
devicestoworkwiththeMPmodem.
Connectingthesedevicesrequiresthatyoumakea customized
I/Ocable.Thecablemusthave,atoneend,whateverconnector
isrequiredbytheI/Odevice,andattheotherend,theHigh
DensityDB15connector.Thecablewiresmustpintothe
appropriatepinnumbersontheI/Oconnector.The
pinoutsare
describedinthenextsection.
